William R. Sutton is Lead Agricultural Economist in the East Asia and Pacific Region for the World Bank’s Food & Agriculture Global Practice, and he is the Team Leader for the regional study on Building Agri-food Resilience to the El Niño Southern Oscillation. He has worked for more than 20 years to promote the integration of agricultural development, environment, and climate change around the world. He is currently coordinating the World Bank’s support for climate-smart agriculture in China. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis.
