Senior Governance Specialist, GovTech, Governance Global Practice

Achim Blume is a Senior Governance Specialist in the GovTech team of the Governance Global Practice of the World Bank. Achim joined the World Bank as a secondee from GIZ (German Agency for International Development Cooperation). His areas of interest include the digitalization of core government systems and especially greening GovTech. During his assignments with GIZ Achim worked on equitable growth, public financial management, digital government and governance of extractive industries. He worked in GIZ’s HQ in Germany before leading several technical cooperation projects and programs in Kenya and Tanzania. Achim holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Goettingen, Germany.
