Ailsa Hart is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with World Bank’s Financial Integrity and Stability team. Before joining the bank, Ailsa worked as a senior advisor for His Majesty’s UK Treasury on counter illicit finance and sanctions issues, and as a policy expert for the Financial Action Task Force – the global watchdog on anti-money laundering. She also spent time living and working in Cairo and London on human security issues and refugee rights. Ailsa is a dual British-French national and holds an undergraduate degree in Arabic and Politics, and a master’s degree in international security.
