Alex Sienaert is the Senior Economist for Kenya in the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice. Previously, he completed assignments in Indonesia and Mauritius, and in the Treasury and Credit Risk departments in Washington, DC. Earlier in his career, Alex worked in emerging markets economics and strategy at Standard Chartered Bank and JP Morgan. A graduate of the University of Cape Town and a Rhodes Scholar, he obtained his doctorate in economics at the University of Oxford.
