Alex is a Brazilian national with an MBA in International Trade and a Master in Economics of the Public Sector. He’s been working on public procurement for 17 years, serving the Federal Government of Brazil and the World Bank. On his most recent assignment, Alex supported countries in the East Asia and Pacific region, engaged primarily in analytical work, procurement performance measurement, e-procurement systems, the preparation of Program for Results operations, and the evaluation of national, subnational and state-owned enterprises’ procurement systems. Since March 2016, his focus returned to procurement policy and analysis in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Alex is a certified Tableau associate and has extensive experience with data analytics.
