Anca Maria Podpiera is a consultant with the Financial and Private Sector Development, Europe and Central Asia working on institutional structures of financial sector supervision, macroprudential stress-testing practices, and financial consumer protection. Previously, she was a Research Analyst in the WDR 2014 team. Prior to joining the Bank, Anca worked for the Czech National Bank, where she produced research on monetary policy transmission mechanism, competition, and efficiency of the banking sector. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education, Prague.
