Britta Rude

Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice of the World Bank.

Britta Rude is an Economist (Young Professional) in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice of the World Bank. Previously, she was a Consultant at the Poverty and Equity Global Practice, the Education Global Practice, and the Environment and Natural Resources Global Practice of the World Bank, starting her career at the World Bank in Paraguay in 2019. Since then, she has supported several teams in their analytical and operational work in Europe and Central Asia (ECA), Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), and South Asia (SAR). She has (co-)authored numerous reports, policy briefs, and research papers. Her work focuses on the drivers and consequences of inequality and on how to best use data to inform policymaking. She holds a PhD in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilian-University Munich (2023). Additionally, Britta is a graduate of the Regional Academy on the United Nations 2021. Britta has four years of work experience as a Junior Economist at the ifo Institute.
