Clemente Avila Parra

Senior Social Protection Economist

Clemente Avila is a Senior Social Protection Economist at the World Bank with extensive experience working in Latin America and the Caribbean. Clemente has experience in analytical and operational work with a focus on social protection and labor systems, including adaptive social protection, safety nets, and labor market policies and programs. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as deputy director of evaluation at Mexico’s National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL). Clemente holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
