Cynthia Marchioni is a consultant in Latin America and the Caribbean Education and Social Protection & Jobs Units, where she provides analysis, technical and operational support in the areas of education, skills, social projection, and labor market. Before joining the Bank, Cynthia worked as an Official of Socioeconomic Analysis for the Development Bank of Latin America, and a Research Assistant for the Center for Distributive, Labor and Social Studies, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and United Nations Development Programme, among others. Her main areas of interest spam span education, skills, labor, gender, and inequality. Her professional experience has been centered on research and experiments in topics related to cognitive and non-cognitive skills, gender discrimination in labor markets, immigrant living conditions, and governance. She holds two Master’s degrees in Economics, one from Universidad Nacional de La Plata and from Brown University, as well as a Master’s in Economic Analysis from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
