Fida is an experienced international infrastructure finance expert with nearly two decades of experience in emerging market and developing countries. He structured and executed infrastructure PPP projects in Asia, Africa and the Middle East and worked extensively with emerging market governments on international initiatives to promote infrastructure development.
Fida is well experienced in project finance transactions, financing products and guarantees, co-financing, syndication, asset management and risk monitoring. He worked in all stages of the project cycle, bringing in a holistic understanding of project finance and unique market dynamics in changing global investment landscape.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Fida worked for the Standard Chartered Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Convergence Blended Finance and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. He lived and worked in Dhaka, Dubai, Jeddah, London, Switzerland, Jakarta and Toronto. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and two Master's Degrees in Business Administration and Investment Banking.
