George Naufal is an Assistant Professor of Economics at The American University of Sharjah (UAE) and a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). He is the co-author of a book “Expats and the Labor Force: The Story of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries” and several journal articles and book chapters. His work has been cited by national and international media outlets including The National, Gulf News and New York Times.He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Texas A&M University.
