George Soraya is the World Bank's Lead Municipal Engineer and team leader of several projects in Indonesia. He has extensive experience in tackling development challenges, including post-disaster housing rehabilitation following the 2004 tsunami and the 2006 earthquake in Java, building community-based water and sanitation facilities, and, through the government’s PNPM-Urban project, improving infrastructure in low-income urban areas.
