Senior Climate Change Specialist, World Bank

Joe is a Senior Climate Change Specialist at the World Bank’s Climate Finance Mobilization Unit, leading on strategic knowledge, capacity strengthening and operational support activities for over $6 billion in climate funds covering sustainable forests and landscapes, clean energy, and climate resilience. Previously, Joe led a large evaluation and learning initiative in the Climate Investment Funds. He has over 20 years of experience with various non-profit, international, philanthropic and governmental organizations, including CARE, Mercy Corps, and the MasterCard Foundation. Joe also served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia, has lived and worked in Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and holds a master’s in public affairs from Princeton University.
