Kamwoo Lee is a Data Scientist with the Development Data Group at the World Bank. His work focuses on facilitating the discovery and dissemination of global development data and analytical tools. His research interests include utilizing unstructured data and applying machine learning techniques for various global development projects. He received a Ph.D. in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia with a focus on machine learning and simulation. Before pursuing his Ph.D., he worked as a financial regulator in the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea and also served as an international volunteer in the Philippines.
