Koen Geven is a Senior Economist in the Education Global Practice of the World Bank, where he leads global work on higher education and on education indicator and data production (EduAnalytics). Previously, Koen led investment operations supporting education reforms in the South Asia Region. His analytical work focuses on the dynamics between inequality, public policy, and education. He is also interested in research on the measurement of Learning Poverty and its causes. Koen holds a PhD in Social and Political Science from the European University Institute.
