Natasha Kapil, Senior Private Sector Specialist

Natasha Kapil is Senior Private Sector Specialist with the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice and specializes in issues of Competitiveness, Innovation & Growth Entrepreneurship. Currently, with the East Asia region, Natasha brings over 15 years of operational and policy making experience from the Europe Central Asia, Latin American, South Asia and Africa. Natasha brings a strong commitment to delivering bespoke client solutions, and is an avid advocate of piloting cutting edge approaches and evidence based policy making, and has integrated impact evaluation approaches in prominent tech entrepreneurship programs with national innovation agencies. Natasha is passionate about the potential exponential technologies hold to unlock development challenges and has been involved in activities supporting climate innovation and digital entrepreneurs, including in Serbia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Ecuador, India, Sri Lanka, and through the Pan African Digital Acceleration Program, XL Africa.
 
Natasha holds a Master’s degree in International Development with an emphasis in Energy, Environment, Science & Technology from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado. In addition to supporting tech startup cultures and national innovation systems with her clients, Natasha is keen on exploring the nexus between biodiversity protection and tourism development. She enjoys exploring and capturing images from remote mountain cultures, ideally 5000m above sea level.
