Ruediger Kuehr is the Head of the United Nations University’s Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability’s (UNU-IAS) Operating Unit SCYCLE, which focuses its work and activities on sustainable production, consumption, and disposal areas. Ruediger also functions as the Executive Secretary of the Solving the E-Waste Problem (Step) Initiative, which aims to initiate and develop environmentally safe solutions to electronic waste issues through analysis, planning, and pilot-projects in joint cooperation with industry, governments, academia, and nongovernment organizations.
