Susan Shen is currently the Practice Manager in the World Bank responsible for Social Sustainability and Inclusion (SSI) related activities in the East Asia and Pacific Region. She has worked at the nexus between environment and natural resources management, people and poverty reduction for over 30 years. As SSI Practice Manager, she has led the development of country-based gender equality programs that led to policy changes as well as raised awareness of ethnic groups and vulnerable populations who are often left out of the development paths. Ms. Shen has a Master’s Degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Tufts University.
