Wayde Flowerday is an Analyst with the World Bank Group, and a lecturer at the University of The Witwatersrand based in South Africa. The primary focus of his work has been the innovation landscape of South Africa, with a view to improving the innovation prospects of the country. Prior to joining the Bank, Wayde worked with the South African Department of Trade and Industry, the United Nations Development Industrial Development Organization, the South African National Treasury, and the South African Revenue Services. He is completing his PhD in Economics though Stellenbosch University.
