Yevgen Yesyrkenov is a Senior Carbon Finance Specialist at the Carbon Finance Unit, Climate Policy and Finance Department of the World Bank. Before joining the Bank in 2009, he worked for a private consulting company, Global Carbon, in Ukraine and Russia, focusing on developing carbon finance projects. He also worked for the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency, USAID, and EU Tacis Program as a program officer on environmental/natural resource management projects. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Sciences from the Central European University, Hungary, and a specialist degree in Biophysics from the Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, Ukraine.
