Yimin is a consultant at the World Bank, where he supports smart city strategies and action planning in client countries. Prior to joining the bank in 2023, Yimin served 14 years in various roles in the Singapore Government. He took the lead in transitioning Singapore’s urban planning towards data-driven practices, as well as establishing the ASEAN Smart Cities Framework for 10 ASEAN member countries. He also led policy research on trends & innovations and piloted solutions to make Singapore future-ready. Yimin’s academic background is in Urban Planning and Geographic Information System. He also obtained a Master’s in Public Administration at Harvard University where he was a Mason Fellow.
