Haruka Miki-Imoto is an Operations Officer for the World Bank Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) in the Urban, Resilience and Land Global Practice (GPURL). Haruka manages operational support for urban task teams in the regions, contributes to the development of urban case studies, and works across the TDLC knowledge program. Haruka works on various urban topics, with a focus on waterfront resilience and urban regeneration and municipal service deliveries such as solid waste, water, and sewage management, and has worked on global analytics such as “What a Waste 2.0”. Haruka has operational experiences in low-income countries in Africa, including those in fragile and conflict-affected situations (FCS) such as DR Congo, Somalia, and she currently supports projects in middle-income countries such as India and Latin America and Caribbean (LAC). She holds dual MPA in Public Policy & Administration from LSE and Sciences-Po Paris, and a B.Sc in Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University.
