Fiorella Risso Brandon is a Senior Financial Sector Consultant with cross-regional experience in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Her areas of work mainly focus on government-to-person payments, financial inclusion, digital financial services, and financial capabilities. She also provides technical assistance to governments with National Financial Inclusion Strategies (NFIS).
Before joining the World Bank, Fiorella worked as a Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist at the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds in Peru, where she was responsible for conducting several qualitative and quantitative studies on financial inclusion, financial capabilities, and consumer protection which have been important inputs for policy reforms and regulation. In addition, she has actively participated in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the NFIS in Peru and has led the National Policy of Financial Inclusion design. Fiorella holds a master's degree in International Economics and Development and a degree in Applied Economics from Paris Dauphine University.
