Franz (Ulli) Ruch is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Prospects Group. His work has focused on fiscal and monetary policy. Prior to joining the World Bank, Dr. Ruch was an economist at the South African Reserve Bank where he contributed to the Bank’s forecasting and macroeconomic modeling, and the Monetary Policy Report. He holds a Master from Oxford University and a Ph.D. from the University of Stellenbosch.
