Hanane Ahmed is a Senior Agriculture Economist with over ten years of country and corporate levels experience in the agriculture and food sector. Hanane possess operational, analytical and policy dialogue experience from East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa regions, including FCV countries.
Currently Hanane works in the Global Engagement Unit of the Agriculture and Food Global Practice. At the Unit, Hanane worked extensively on agriculture public policies and expenditures, and currently focuses on food and nutrition security monitoring and response, engages in operational work, and works on various corporate commitments related to the agriculture and food sector.
Hanane joined the World Bank as part of the Young Professionals Program. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex, UK.
