Ivor Istuk is a financial sector lawyer acting as a Senior Financial Sector Specialist advising on MSME access to finance reforms, alternative credit / financial innovation and financial consumer protection.
Ivor started his career as a practicing lawyer where he spent seven years advising clients on various aspects of financial law and regulation matters. In 2011 Ivor continued his career by joining the EBRD in London where he served five years as a Principal Counsel in the Financial Law Unit responsible for the Unit’s access to finance work. His work included provided expert advice to EBRD clients on various financial sector matters including secured transactions, asset-based lending regimes, factoring, leasing, NBFI regulation, SME operational environment as well as pre-harvest and post-harvest agricultural finance.
In 2016 Ivor joined the World Bank where he continues to advise on legal, regulatory and policy matters related to MSME access to finance, financial innovation, inclusion and financial consumer protection.
