Jennie Albone is a consultant working with the World Bank’s Education practice where she works on issues of expanding access to quality learning materials and provision as a core team member of the Invest in Childcare and Read@Home programs. Previously, Jennie was VP of Business Operations for First Book, a US non-profit ecommerce platform which has distributed over 200 million books to date to children in low-income households, and Head of Programmes for BookTrust in the UK, which reaches 3 million children a year through a national network of local partners in early years, schools, health, libraries and local government. Jennie holds a postgraduate certificate in education from the University of Reading and MBA from Bayes Business School.
