Jorge de Leon is a Young Professional at the World Bank, where he works on public administration, fiscal policy, and public sector analytics in Latin America and the Caribbean. His work spans tax administration, climate-informed public financial management, civil service reform, and public procurement. Prior to joining the World Bank, he held roles at the Inter-American Development Bank, Ernst & Young’s Quantitative Economics and Statistics group, the International Monetary Fund, and the government of Guatemala. Jorge has led technical assistance and research initiatives, conducted cost-benefit analyses, and developed composite indices and behavioral experiments to support better governance outcomes. He holds a Master’s in International Economics and Finance from Johns Hopkins University SAIS, a data science certificate from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Wheaton College, Massachusetts.
