Kathryn Elizabeth Young is an Economist with the Development Data Group’s Economics and Debt Statistics team where she works on the compilation, analysis, and dissemination of the World Development Indicators and Classification of Countries by Income. She brings experience working with macroeconomic data from Statistics Canada in both the System of National Accounts and Balance of Payments programs where her work included the production of mainline economic indicators in the financial and wealth accounts, as well as statistical development of new datasets such as distribution of household economic accounts, activities of foreign affiliates and whom-to-whom matrices.
Kathryn holds an M.A. in Economics from Carleton University and an honors B.A. in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.
