Kayenat Kabir is an economist studying food security, climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and inclusive growth. At the World Bank she is a consultant with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) analytics team, Climate Change Group, and Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment (MTI) Global Practice macro modeling team. Previously, she worked on household food security and post-disaster needs assessments, geographic targeting of social protection resources, and agricultural market interventions at the World Food Programme (WFP) and Swisscontact in Bangladesh. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, U.S.A. where she researched long-term food security in Niger.
