Melinda is the External Affairs Officer for the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice. She previously managed communications for the Women Entrepreneur’s Finance Initiative (We-Fi), digital communications for the Gender team, and worked on IFC’s relationships with development partners.
Before joining the Bank, Melinda led the New Zealand Embassy’s outreach to the U.S. Congress, lobbying in support of the nation’s trade, foreign policy and immigration interests. She was also a political advisor at the British Embassy in New Zealand, and served at New Zealand’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. She began her career as a tax policy advisor and tax treaty negotiator for the New Zealand government.
Melinda holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and is qualified as an attorney in New Zealand.
