Nikita Perevalov is a senior economist in the Prospects Group of the World Bank. His work focuses on surveillance, in particular for advanced economies such as the United States, and global macroeconomic risks. He is one of the lead authors of the World Bank’s flagship Global Economic Prospects report, which presents the World Bank’s outlook on the global economy. He also works on analytical projects, including research book chapters published by the group. Prior to joining the World Bank, his experience included senior roles at a major Canadian private bank, as well as at the Bank of Canada, where he worked for more than ten years in the Canadian and International departments. Throughout his career, his work has focused on model development, macroeconomic forecasting, policy analysis, and financial sector issues.
