Rahul Srinivasan is an Energy Specialist at the World Bank. He is a core member of the World Bank’s COVID 19 Global Vaccine Delivery Taskforce, focusing on the deployment of climate friendly cold chains to deliver COVID 19 vaccines in low and middle income countries. He is also the Focal Point for Lighting Africa's work on solar electrification of public institutions such as schools and health centers to maximize human capital development. Moreover, Rahul has supported various renewable energy, energy access, and climate resilience initiatives in the Caribbean and East Africa.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Rahul worked in private sector energy consulting for 5 years as a Senior Engineer and Client Manager. Subsequently, he graduated with a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2017. He served as a Teaching Fellow on Energy Policy and Markets and was bestowed the Don.K. Price award for academic excellence and significant impact on the Harvard community. He is a seasoned speaker on the topics of energy+healthcare, climate change, and leadership and has spoken at various international forums.
