Yevanit is a Master’s student in Development Practice at UC Berkeley and supports CEGA’s Communications team. She is especially interested in community-based poverty alleviation and youth development efforts in Latin America. Prior to graduate school, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador where she implemented youth development and gender equity initiatives in partnership with the local government. She has also worked in communications and grant writing at a youth development nonprofit in the Chicago area. She holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Latin American Studies
