Mr. Ahmed Najmul Hussain is the Director, Administration and Road Safety Programs in BRAC. He is the former Commissioner, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Chairman Bangladesh Road Transport Authority and founding Member-Secretary of National Road Safety Council.
Mr. Hussain coordinated formulation of the first National Road Safety Strategic Action Plan and Corporate Plan of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. He has been awarded Prince Michael International Road Safety Award, UK 2002 for his commitment and innovative work to improve road safety in Bangladesh. He has prepared the Community Road Safety Project for BRAC and is implementing it as the Project Director.
