Aisha Garba is a Senior Education Specialist based in Abuja, Nigeria. Having joined the Bank in February 2013 as an STC and then in May 2016 as Education Specialist, she is leading several operations in Nigeria, contributing to ASAs, and to policy dialogue and engagement in education with Federal and State government counterparts. She is currently leading one of the largest operation in the Bank, the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment Project AGILE, a $1.2 billion dollar operation. She had previously worked with International and national organizations such as DFID, USAID, MDGs -office of the special advisor to the president, Karamah organization (Muslim Women Human rights) and Islamic relief in the UK. She holds an MSC in International Development from Birmingham University, United Kingdom.
