Amy Leigh Johnson is PhD student in the joint degree program in Anthropology and Forestry and Environmental Studies. Her research examines the process of delineating federal provinces to accompany Nepal’s transition from Hindu monarchy to secular, federal republic and the role of regional development and infrastructure projects (especially hydropower) in conditioning boundaries to accompany this new political project.
