Brian Mtonya is a Senior Economist in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice of the World Bank Group. He is currently based in Hanoi, Vietnam where he manages the Bank’s Competitiveness and Innovation agenda as well collaborates on International Integration and Trade Facilitation issues. Brian also works on the Pacific (Papua New Guinea) on SME Access to Finance and Tourism related issues.
Brian has worked across a number of countries in Southern and Eastern Africa managing Financial Sector, Trade and Competitiveness issues including assignments in Zambia and Malawi.
