Economist

Damir is an economist in the Global Macroeconomic Trends Team of the Development Prospects Group (DECPG) at the World Bank. He carries out analysis and forecasting of the commodity markets, in particular energy and metals, and their macroeconomic impacts for developing countries. He contributes to the Global Economic Prospects report as well. Before joining DECPG in 2012, he worked in country operations in the Europe and Central Asia region. Prior to joining the Bank in 2010, he worked for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Damir holds a MA in international economics and finance from Brandeis University and a BA in economics from Clark University.
