Dikshya Thapa is a Sociologist and consultant in the World Bank Water GP, currently based in Indonesia. Her areas of work are social development, governance and decentralization, and the politics of service delivery. She has published on gender and feminism in development, the evolving role of NGOs and civil society in development, and on the social impact of trade and competition policies. Dikshya holds a PhD in Sociology from Brown University, an MSc in Gender and Development from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Economics from Lancaster University, UK.
