Emma Lambert-Porter is a consultant with Education Global Practice, supporting implementation work on the EdTech Readiness Index. She has over 6 years’ experience in running social and economic policy impact evaluations and data analysis, including working with government, non-profit organizations, donors, and private sector partners in Zambia and South Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank, Emma was a Research Manager at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Zambia, where she led teams and coordinated RCTs and impact evaluations across various sectors, including education, health, agriculture, and financial inclusion.

Before joining IPA, Emma had worked at J-PAL Africa, where she led the process monitoring for an education pilot implemented by the Zambian Ministry of General Education. She also has considerable experience working in the private sector, having specialized in project management, systems analysis and design for the tech sector for five years before shifting into international development. Emma holds a BBusSc in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and a Masters (MPA) in Public and Economic Policy and Development from both London School of Economics and Political Science and Columbia University.
