Isura is a social entrepreneur with a passion to create rural social entrepreneurs. He manages Sarvodya-Fusion, a leading ‘Information & Communication Technology for Development’ (ICT4D) social enterprise in Sri Lanka, a specialized program of Sarvodaya – the 55 year old national charity, with a mission seeking ‘e-Empowerment of rural communities,"

For over 10 years he’s dedicated to build/nurture a Sri Lankan rural community eco system connecting corporate, Government and NGO partners, to develop rural social entrepreneurs to improve education, employment and economy with ICT.

He was featured in “40 Under 40” in Echelon magazine, a list of 40 Sri Lankans under 40 years of age, who are 2014’s most important risk takers, job creators and rule breakers. He’s a noted speaker at social enterprises, social media and startups.

He obtained Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering, from the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka (2004) and a passed finalist of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) (2004).
