Joeri co-leads the Energy Subsidy Reform Facility and Geothermal Direct Use Development Program of the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program. He joined the World Bank in 2013 and has since split his time between lending operations and global knowledge work with a focus on power sector reform, energy subsidy reform, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Joeri holds a PhD in Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis, and MAs in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Chicago.
