Kulaya Tantitemit, a Thailand national, is the World Bank Group Executive Director representing for the South East Asia (SEA) Group since November 2018.
Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Ms. Tantitemit was the Inspection General, spokesperson, and the Advisor to the Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Finance, Bangkok, Thailand.
Ms. Tantitemit hold various senior-level positions in her career at the Thai Ministry of Finance, Fiscal Policy Office, including, Executive Director at the Bureau of Macroeconomic Policy; Senior Expert on Macroeconomic Policy; Director of the ASEAN Economic Cooperation Division; Head of International Fiscal Cooperation: Europe and America Sub-Division; and Acting Director, Bilateral and Multilateral Trade Liberalization Section.
Ms. Tantitemit holds a BA in Economics, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand; an MA in Economics, Boston University, Massachusetts; and an MS in International Economics and Finance, and a Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance, both from Brandeis University, Massachusetts.
