Mats is a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering and Management (Energy) at UOIT. Through several internships, he has developed practical work experience to compliment his studies. Exposure to the Clean Energy Research Laboratory and the Alberta oil sands through work at Suncor Energy has expanded his views on energy and sustainability issues. Mats believes that climate change is the most pressing issue of our time and hopes to help develop a more sustainable global energy system. He has developed his management skills through strong involvement in student governance, most notably as past-president of the UOIT Engineering Students Society and past-chair of the Student Association Board of Directors.
