Matteo Morgandi is a Young Professional in the Social Protection and Labor unit of the MENA Region, where he works on labor markets and social safety nets. Matteo’s research in the Middle East and North Africa has focused on youth labor market inclusion, informality within firms, the political economy of social safety nets reform, and international migration. Before joining the World Bank Matteo worked at the ILO in Washington DC and El Salvador, in UNICEF in Armenia, and in Caritas Italy. Matteo holds a M.A. in Development Economics and International Development from SAIS Johns Hopkins University.
