Melina Fleury is the Digital Strategist and Communications Officer for the Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience, and Land Global Practice(GPURL). She specializes in strategic communications and is responsible for GPURL’s digital presence and content. In her previous role at the World Bank, she produced the Poverty Podcast for the Poverty Global Practice and acted as the GP’s digital strategist and producer. A Brazilian national, Melina has previously worked for the Work Committee at the Brazilian Congress, and later as the digital strategist and designer for a political super PAC in D.C. She holds a B.A in journalism from the University of Brasilia, and an M.A in International Media from American University.
