Robert C. M. Beyer is a Senior Economist at the Macro, Trade, and Investment Global Practice at the World Bank and works mostly on Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. Before, he spent four years at the South Asia Office of the Chief Economist, where he led the production of the biannual macroeconomic update for South Asia (South Asia Economic Focus). Before joining the World Bank in 2016, he conducted research at the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund and completed a Ph.D. at Goethe University Frankfurt. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, for example in the Journal of International Money and Finance, in World Development, and in Economic Policy; according to Google Scholar his papers are cited by over 400 others.
