Salman Alibhai is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist in the World Bank’s Finance, Competitiveness, & Innovation Global Practice, currently focused on the East Asia and Pacific Region and based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He leads lending operations and research initiatives covering a range of financial and private sector development topics, with a focus on supporting countries in accelerating green and sustainable finance, expanding credit to the private sector, and supporting small and medium enterprises. Salman has lived and worked in eight countries in East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, and holds an MSc from Oxford University and a BA from Carleton University.
