Sulochana Nepali is currently Environmental Analyst in World Bank Nepal office under South Asia Environment, Natural Resources, and the Blue Economy (ENB). She has experience working with multiple practices i.e. Environment, Climate Change, Water, Social Development and Disaster Risk Management in different capacities. She was a task team member of Building Resilience to Climate-related Hazards Project, from its inception in 2011, that invested in modernization of hydrometeorological observation networks in Nepal to improve climate and weather services. After 2015 Nepal earthquakes, she was engaged extensively in Nepal’s post-earthquake reconstruction, most notably, implementation of US$ 700 million Nepal Earthquake Housing Reconstruction project and administration of US$34.45 Nepal Earthquake Reconstruction Multi Donor Trust Fund. In Nepal’s housing reconstruction, Sulochana led technical assistance component of the project that supported reconstruction for the most vulnerable beneficiaries and provided employment opportunities for women masons. She holds Master of Public Administration in International Development from University of York, UK and Master’s Degree in Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
